Our Verdict

Given its history, there is a good case for Coleraine being the best Bordeaux blend made outside Bordeaux. OK, there are heaps of other contenders, but Coleraine - year after year - has delivered an elegant, supple Hawkes Bay Cabernet blend that improves in the bottle for a decade or more. If it isn’t the best, it’s a great contender.
