St Bernardus Prior 8 is a traditional strong abbey ale, brewed in the classic dubbel style. The original recipe dates back to the times when St Bernardus brewed under license for the Monks of Westvleteren. Chestnut brown in colour and emitting a deep red glow with a silky soft collar of cafe-crème froth that preserves the aromas beautifully... a smooth creamy rich texture and a malt-fruit complexity reminiscent of banana and dates.
