Our Verdict

While not the top of the totem pole in terms of price and quality, this is perhaps the most important wine in Ariana Occhipinti’s impressive collection. And it is perhaps the best known of Sicily’s new-breed reds. A blend of Frappato and Nero d’Avola, it is more medium bodied than hefty, silky tannins, and a mix of perfume, earth and funk.
