The two wines we have available come from different soils, and with a gap in vine age: La Pointe 52 year old vines, Croix Polage 35 years plus. Croix Polage is the more exuberant - fresh, juicy, incredibly pleasurable. la Pointe is more structured and reticent, perhaps destined for a longer life.

Our Verdict
Well here is a wonder. This isn’t cru Beaujolais; both wines from Mont Joly are ‘Village’. But they have the brightness, flesh and structure to shame plenty of - on paper - better wines.
