Our Verdict
There are books and then there are BOOKS. This one is definitely capitalised. I haven’t weighed it, but I’m guessing 5kg, and it runs to more than 800 pages. But far more impressive than its size is its content: fabulous colour plates and some of the most researched, detailed, well laid-out information I’ve ever seen in a book about drinks. it covers the history, myths and misconceptions of Caribbean rum; production, trade, regions and producers.I was recommended the book by a good friend who loves rum (as do I), and we jumped through the many hoops it takes to import a box of heavy books across the Pacific.
