Our Verdict

Rhum J.M Distillery, founded by Jean Marie Martin (J.M) in 1845 is located in the north of Martinique (French West Indies), renowned to be one of the most prestigious brands for aged French rums.

XO (extra old) blended in re-charred Bourbon barrels for 5 years then finished for one year in barrels of different capacities and temperatures. 

This rum has a rich nose of fruity notes: candied orange zest, dried fruit, quince conserve and the delicious enticing notes of gingerbread (honey, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla). It is irresistibly elegant.  A complex palate with the candied fruit and dried fruit reminiscent of the nose, enhanced with a deliciously sweet note of Tonka bean.  Extremely well-rounded and generous.
