Our Verdict

We really can’t over-state our love for the wines from Domaine Gilbert Picq. They embody everything that is good in traditionally made (not a whiff of oak) chablis; brine, oyster-shell, a whiff of herb-garden, citrus, granny-smith and petrichor. All of that kind of stuff. But there’s much more to the wines, starting with sustainable viticulture and ending with substantial time resting on lees. They truly are beautiful.

"There is good Chablis typicity present in the form of iodine, seashore and petrol along with citrus zest top notes. The delicious, vibrant and precise middle weight flavors flash good minerality on the clean, dry and saline-inflected finish.
