Craigellachie, based in Speyside, is part of the Dewars stable of distilleries. 13 year old? What the? Apparently that’s what they do … unusual age releases. As Speysides go this is relatively singular, with a good whiff of smoke and a slightly heavier profile than most. It. Is a generous, full bodied, layered whisky. Non chill filtered.
