Mee Godard Cote De Brouilly "Metamorphoses" 2023
Our Verdict
The Queen of Beaujolais
Godard’s wines are impressive, perhaps a little more opulent than some others but rooted in purity and balance. Stylistically they remind me of Domaine Anita, albeit with less flamboyance and more mineralité. Prices for the top cuvées are comparatively higher than those of her peers, but in my mind these wines are worth the extra penny. Neal Martin, Vinous
Mee Godard is a tiny domaine – just six hectares – working primarily in the Morgon cru. We’re thrilled to have secured a small allocation of these wines.
From the powerful, structured Cote du Py to the elegant, perfumed Corcelette, the ethereal, blue-fruited Cote De Brouilly, and one of the best Beaujolais-Villages you’ll come across. The wines are stunning.
