Our Verdict

A unique find … peated Irish whiskey! Connemara blends the smooth, gentle notes that Ireland seems to give, with the complexing, smoky notes from the process of drying the malts over peat fires. It’s a lovely result; less aggressive than some of the more brash Islay whiskys, the smokiness being more an added dimension than a defining factor.
