Our Verdict

Kumeu River - arguably the preeminent Chardonnay producer in New Zealand - makes ‘Village’ as a nod to the village wines of Burgundy; lower oak profile, less intense, more immediate. That said, there is a lot going on here in terms of complexity and texture. This is wildly good value.
