Our Verdict

A fantastic example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but it's a Martinbourough version ... not Marlborough. So this is clean, textural and has just enough gooseberry and grapefruit to be typically Sauv Blanc without the overt tropical or grassy characters; the Martinbourough version is more subdued, more mineral, more subtle. Which is a good thing. Saying that, you can still give a bottle of this to a classic Sauv Blanc drinker and they won’t be disappointed. EB
