Deep red with tints of purple and a sweetly jammy blackberry and squishy mulberry aroma, plus a slight meaty overtone. The wine is lean and sinewy on the tongue with tense tannins, a trace of bitterness, and is medium bodied with moderate length. There's a Rhône-ish note to the nose.
