Our Verdict

Aunt Alice is an exciting new label from Alice Davidson, who works under Peter Dredge (Dr Edge!). 

Strawberries, raspberries and cherries leap from the glass. Spices and forest floor interweaved with charry toasty oak. Structure built on the finish with tannins from stems and oak. Fresh, juicy and vibrant.

"This is frisky with acidity and flecked with fragrant herbs, though the bedrock is red cherry, mineral, twigs and rose petals. I’m tempted to call it light because it’s not in any way dense but then it also has a bit of grunt to it, thanks mainly to its meaty, spicy, floral personality but also thanks to a push of velvety tannin.
