Always impeccable, always oxymoronically elegant and powerful at the same time, this flagship from Taittinger is a marvel and the 2011 rendition is really on point. 100% Chardonnay, 100% Grand Cru vineyard from the Cote de Blancs, there is always something a little creamy, silky, seductive in the texture. Beautifully aged now - nutty complexity, a hint of fino - but it will cellar for a decade.
