Ca'rome Barolo Ceretta 2017

Our Verdict

This 1.7-hectare vineyard is named after the Cerretta MGA, one of Serralunga’s designated crus. It was planted in 1961 and yields very small crops.

Classic roses and violets aromas combined with concentrated rich dark fruit characters, hints of tobacco and vanilla spice. The palate is crystal-clear with intense cherry, black plum, medicinal herbs, some soy sauce, and that distinctive graphite character. The tannins are extremely fine and seamlessly integrated with the acid, giving the wine a delicate yet persistent finish.
