Mee Godard Beaujolais Villages 2024
Our Verdict
Finesse, depth and a profound sense of place: Mee Godard’s 2024 wines are her most compelling yet. Age worthy Beaujolais of extraordinary complexity, and a release followers of the domaine will love.
The wines range from the powerful, structured Côte du Py to the elegant, perfumed Corcelette, and the ethereal, blue-fruited Côte de Brouilly. Rounding it out is one of the best Beaujolais-Villages you’ll come across.
Godard’s wines are impressive, perhaps a little more opulent than some others but rooted in purity and balance. Stylistically they remind me of Domaine Anita, albeit with less flamboyance and more mineralité. Prices for the top cuvées are comparatively higher than those of her peers, but in my mind these wines are worth the extra penny. Neal Martin, Vinous
