Our Verdict

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with the proportion of Merlot slightly in front, from Henschke’s sustainably farmed (and exceedingly picturesque) Lenswood Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. As with all Henschke reds there is a polish, a kind of irrevocable beauty to the way it has been made: silky tannins, rich fruit, perfect poise. Of course is left in the shadow of Hill of Grace, Cyril and Mount Edelstone when it comes to reputation, but it has the same genetic blueprint. Almost … TH
