Daniel Bouland Morgon Bellevue Cailloux Beaujolais 2021

We all want to drink great burgundy, but only a few can manage it. Beaujolais is, in so many ways, the new frontier, and as a region it has risen to the occasion with some of the most terroir-driven, thought-provoking wines. 

Rock-star producer Domaine Bouland, is a maker that sheds a floodlight on the various Cru of Beaujolais and one of only six domaines with two stars or above in the Beaujolais.  He makes compelling wines from what is now a hot-ticket appellation. And 2021 is another outstanding vintage for Daniel Bouland.   

There is dichotomy here: grapes from a site that produces some of the gentlest wines in all of Beaujolais, crafted from a producer who seeks depth, structure and complexity. The results are marvellous. Like all of Bouland’s wines it is impeccably made and screams its terroir.
