"Given its cool-climate location, there’s a thread of cooler flavours and attributes from alpine herbs to wild strawberries with morello and pink cherries. A strong fragrance of the landscape in eucalyptus, river mint and warm earth with charred radicchio come to the fore with juicier fruit on the medium-bodied palate. "A very minty release here, near dominating the bouquet and palate, so strap in for that. Red cherry too, raspberry, some sooty spices and autumnal notes, touch of game meat if not a bit more. Lots to like. Supple palate, fine boned, cool acidity and again a meaty finish. Love the texture, love the freshness. The overt mint thing does distract. The current release sees the return of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and crowd favourites Il Pinko Rose & l'Altra. While volumes are fractionally better than in previous years the wines are still extremely limited.
