Our Verdict

Changes have been afoot at Piper Heidsieck, beginning with the appointment of a very youthful Emilieu Boutillat as Head Winemaker. And two of those changes are the finessing of the Cuvee Brut and the introduction of a range labelled Essentiel. The Essentiel wines are exquisite!

Essentiel Blanc de Noirs brings together the historic Pinot Noir and the vibrant Meunier in a daringly delicate blend. The diverse terroirs of the 10 selected crus elevate the complexity of these black grape varieties, transforming them into a Champagne that’s both fruity and elegantly refined.
