The vineyard occupies a perfect ampitheatre in the foothills of the Pisa range. From its inception it has been farmed biodynamically under the watchful eyes of the Sauvage family (owners) and Pinot Noir and biodynamic guru, Ted Lemoin from California.
As Otago Pinots go, this is in the groove of abundant fruit, plush dark cherry characters, and a good framework of tannin. But there is an elegance - a gentleness - to the wine that speaks to the care that has formed it via farming and making.
